Evaluation
My presentation was about a Mockumentary my group are making
called “The Only Way Is Bermondsey.” I took the role of scribe in our group.
The section I planned and prepared for was the treatment and the recce. This
meant I had to present our ideas, to the class, about what our Mockumentary was
about and where we were going to be filming it. When I presented my bit to the
class, I used a range of skills such as eye contact, hand gestures, and clear
language. During the presentation I felt a bit nervous, however, I was fully
prepared and therefore knew what I was doing.
People said I was good at speaking clearly, using eye contact and having
confidence. I was most proud of my clear and projected voice as it made sure
people knew what I was talking about. I was also pleased with my eye contact as
I am not very good at it but I colour coded my script so then I knew when I had
to look up and I would know where to start again. To improve in the future I
would look up more often and for longer. I didn’t use body language very
effectively and I think this was because I was holding my script and therefore
it was restricting me from moving very well. Therefore, in the future I will
try to remember it so I can use body language and more hand gestures. People said
that to improve I should use tone of voice and include body language to
interact with the audience more. Therefore, in the future, I will memorise my
script which means that I could use hand gestures more effectively and body
language.

Well done! You are a merit because you
have said what skills you used and how you could improve, and what you did to
persuade your audience to watch your Mockumentary.
To improve for a distinction you can
explain what role you took in your Mockumentary and how you delivered your
presentation. (Y)
